Restaurant
& Bars
Whilst your information binder in the apartment will have an extensive
list of recommended restaurants to suit all tastes, here are a
selection of our favourites;
La Cantina (Mojacar)
Tex Mex Turn right at bottom of hill, immediately opposite on the beach.
Ainsley Harriet claims it is the best Tex Mex in Europe! Great burgers.
We love this restaurant. Be sure to get the staff to take your picture
and they’ll bring out the Mexican hats to really set it off. Booking
also advisable to get that seat with views out to sea. Tel; 950478841
La
Hacienda (Mojacar)
(A favourite) Argentinian Steak House; Turn right at bottom of the hill,
these are the finest steaks you’ll ever taste! Booking is recommended
to avoid disappointment.
Meson del Pobre (Turre)
Spanish Great Spanish atmosphere. A must for fish lovers. As you drive
through Turre from Mojacar, it can be found down one of the side roads
on the right. Tel ;950468321
L'incantino (Mojacar)
Italian Turn left at bottom of hill, approx 10-15 mins walk on beach side.
Excellent Italian restaurant with terrace with fabulous sea views. Again,
recommend booking to get a table outside! Tel;950472224
Bar Lance/El Lance (Mojacar)
Spanish Turn left at bottom of hill, approx 15 mins walk. Good all round
menu, very reasonably priced, large portions of food. Recommend the fish.
Miramar (Bedar)
Spanish Wonderful seafood, and the paella is one of the best in the area.
Their speciality is a leg of lamb (for 2 people), which is absolutely
gorgeous. Nice at anytime but Sunday lunch is especially enjoyable. Very
welcoming and the balcony provides wonderful views of the valley, down
to the coast. Tel;950469308
El Antler (Mojacar Village)
English Found near the Town Hall amongst the back lanes. Run by English
couple. Great food at a reasonable price. Huge portions. Lovely atmosphere.
Very popular so booking is recommended. Tel; 600540661
Torre Bahia (Mojacar)
Spanish Turn left at bottom of hill. Over the ‘stables’ roundabout,
about 50yds past Lua, up a side road on left. Fantastic friendly atmosphere,
great, varied food at reasonable price.
Sitio’s bar (Mojacar)
English, (not food) Turn left at bottom of hill, approx 5 mins walk. Sophisticated
bar with nice atmosphere, open until late. Our local.
Ice Cream Parlour (Mojacar)
Fantastic ice creams to eat in or take away. Sit down menu includes some
mouthwatering combinations. Kids can even have steak, egg and chips made
entirely out of ice cream ‘can’t think why but they can’.
Turn right at bottom of hill, approx 10 mins walk. Next to ‘Roly’s
bar’.
and
if it's a lively place you're after then we (ok, our teenagers) recommend
you start out in Bar Lua (left at bottom of hill, 10
min walk), then move on to Budha (on beachfront near
La Cantina) or Mandala (left at bottom of hill and 20
min walk along the front). Not sure if these are open all year round.
Alternatively, Sitio's plays great music until early
hours. It is very popular with all ages and is open all year".
